Annual Trunk Show 2025

Studio 13, Room 229, Gorton Center, 400 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest

Meet seven creative entrepreneurs from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff who have come together to host an exclusive shopping event celebrating contemporary art and fashion. Enjoy a glass of bubbly and light refreshments as we share new collections, inspirations, and select end-of-season pieces.

This year’s showcase features original work by Joalida Smit, Rae Lisenby, Susan Armstrong, Susan Sands, Linda Scholly, Julie Whitehead-Holdsworth, and Sara Pickus.

Joalida Smit

Art

Joalida Smit of Joalida Smit Fine Art known for her large scale florals will show her collection of smaller work, including magnolia flowers, fun portraits and not-to-be-missed limited edition prints.

Rae Lisenby

Fashion

Rae Lisenby of Heritage Luxe will create a women's apparel showroom with curated styles, where quality meets on-trend fashion. These styles are uniquely sourced and of an exceptional quality (and price)!

Julie Whitehead Holdsworth

Art

Julie Whitehead Holdsworth of Julie Whitehead Studios is a painter, sculptor and ornament maker well known to our community. For this trunk show she will bring some of her lesser known fun, artistic, embellished pieces that blurs the line between art, sculpture and artifact.

Linda Scholly

Art

Linda Scholly of Linda Scholly Art is known for her gold and silver leaf oil paintings inspired by nature. She will have her winged creatures on display together with fun Christmas ornaments and adorable Santa post code signs!

Susan Armstrong

Fashion

Susan Armstrong of Altamira Collections will showcase her winter collection of designer garments and home decor made from the softest Peruvian baby alpaca wool. Her upmarket designs and outstanding quality at high-street prices is out of this world!

Susan Sands

Interior design

Susan Sands of Susan Covell Designs will curate home interior vignettes, pairing her abstract paintings with vintage prints, custom pillows in designer fabric and other curiosities. Free design advice will flow!

Sara Pickus

Fashion

Sara Pickus of Hulda Design has a creative background, with several years in graphic design and communications. A self-professed lover of creating by hand, she has worked in pottery, textiles, painting and jewelry design. She will show her latest addition of handmade crochet handbags. We are excited to have Sara at this year’s show!
