Teen Art Classes
In my working art studio, I create a space for teens to explore materials, experiment, and discover their own artistic voice. Whether drawing, painting, using clay or experimenting with mixed media, each month we tackle a subject - shoes, a still life, portraits or animals - students bring their own starting point, and I guide them toward developing a style that feels authentic and uniquely theirs. Over time, they begin to choose their own subject matter, materials, and direction, and we grow together in the process.
The process
As a self-taught artist, my teaching style focuses on process rather than product — my teaching helps teens discover and strengthen their own artistic voice. Unlike an art club, where the goal is to take home a finished piece every session, my emphasis is on long-term growth and self-discovery. In this space, we make mistakes, share laughter, snack, listen to music, and create a supportive community where art becomes a journey rather than a product.
