Art of Masquerade

David Adler Estate, Lake Forest, Illinois

The Deer Path Art League held its annual fundraising event themed "Art of Masquerade," at the historic Adler Estate in Lake Forest. For this signature event, I transformed one of my old paintings into a dress, paired with a floral headdress and mask I designed and created myself. As a Board Member, it was a joyful way to merge creativity, art and fashion — bringing the spirit of masquerade to life through art.

Art in Bloom

Gorton Center, Lake Forest, Illinois

In this fundraising event hosted by the Deer Path Art League, art, fashion, and flowers came together in a vibrant celebration of creativity. Curated works by DPAL members were paired with floral designs by local florists, forming the backdrop to a fashion show featuring Spring and Summer collections from local boutiques. My painting Purple Dreams was selected for the exhibition and featured on the event show card.

Empowered Women, Empowering Women

The Metropolitan, Chicago, Illinois

At this event hosted by Next Group and Edward Jones, I was invited as one of three women speakers to share my journey from a career as a neuropsychologist to pursuing my passion as a full-time artist. I spoke about my why - the motivations behind the change - as well as the risks, challenges, and rewards of building a purpose-driven life  I could never have imagined for myself.

Facing the Mask

28 Mile Distilling Co, Highwood, Illinois

"Facing the Mask" was a unique live auction fundraiser for Art Impact Project, a non-profit organization promoting emotional and mental well-being through art. One of their flagship programs The Mask Project: Inside Out inspired this event.

I was selected, together with local celebrities Rikki Rocket, Melissa Forman, Ryan Mundy, Larry Potash and artists WolfgangGang, Scott Jay Marr, Kati Murphy, and Ari Smejkal to create masks that reflected something about the healing power of art in our personal lives.

Annual Trunk Show

Gorton Center, Lake Forest, Illinois

Each year, studio-mate Susan Sands and I open our studio (Studio 13) at the Gorton Center for an exclusive trunk show celebrating contemporary art and fashion. The event brings together local female entrepreneurs in art, fashion, and design, offering guests the opportunity to meet the women behind the brands. It’s an evening of creativity and connection - sharing a glass of bubbly while discovering new collections, inspirations, and end-of-season pieces at accessible prices.
