"I bought this painting from Joalida a few months ago when COVID was at its most intense here in South Africa. I was feeling a bit down one day, sitting by a stream in the Cederberg mountains just north of Cape Town and browsing through my phone. Suddenly I was surrounded by beautiful dragon flies and at the same time her painting pops up on my Facebook. It felt quite special, like a strong message. I could not get the image of this fabulous shoe with the snake curling around it (I am a Chinese snake sign) out of my mind... I knew I had to have it. There was a significant message in there for me about transformation, change and new beginnings. Two days later, back in the city, I reached out to her and asked if it was for sale (crossing fingers I could afford it). So happy that it all worked out -  we shipped it to South Africa, a very easy process and this beautiful work of exquisite art now hangs in my bedroom where I can look at it every day and experience the same magic I felt that day by the stream. It now inspires me to live my life in a way that bring happiness to me, every day."
