This series of crazy boots are available as originals or open edition prints.
The boot symbolises toughness, fortitude, freedom, autonomy - and in the Victorian boot - a love for fashion, frivolity, texture and pattern. Both represents the desire to live free and without reservation. The butterfly indicates that change is happening, the upward flying butterfly a sign that this change is towards a higher truth. The dragonfly has a similar meaning, but asks that we pay attention to our deeper desires. The flowers, peony, hibiscus and daylily all have specific personal and spiritual meanings. The awakened snake or the Kundalini as it appears in these works, therefore asks that we suspend our preconceived beliefs about ourselves, to dig deep inside and allow the totem symbols appearing in these works to speak to us more personally.
Whilst fun and playful, these paintings also have a deeper purpose, providing a connection with unconscious symbols of abundance and transformation, to enable us to experience psychological freedom through a connection with our own personal totems at a time when our physical freedom has been curtailed.
